Inverness Self Catering Cottage :: Little Woodside

This renovated detached cottage provides self catering accommodation with magnificent views over the Moray Firth, and it lies 5 miles north of Inverness centre.  Tastefully furnished it provides a splendid base for exploring the Black Isle, Loch Ness, the Cairngorms, the West Coast and the North.  Being on the North of the Firth overlooking Inverness, this Self Catering Accommodation is also ideal for day trips to the North Highlands,  Sutherland and Caithness, where you can get daily ferries to  Orkney.

There are many walks in nearby woods and along the shores of the Moray Firth, where it may be possible to see  seals and dolphins. For the bird watchers there are kites and buzzards, and for animal-lovers there are the deer and red squirrels, and of course our own friendly sheep and cattle.  Activities nearby the cottage include golf courses, riding, a wildlife park and a theatre. Shop and pub are located approximately two miles away.  The Black Isle brewery is nearby and there are several Whisky Distilleries in easy reach by car from Muir of Ord to the Famous Glenmorangie.

A short car journey will take you to the local villages of interest such as Cromarty and Fortrose.  Both Dingwall and the Inverness centre is within easy reach, with all the facilities they provide for visitors,  Boat Trips for example.

Being the Highlands Capital, Inverness is provided with many popular restaurants - wide variety from French, Spanish, Asian and Scottish as well as a lively Music and entertainment scene now with Eden Court Theatre, The Ironworks, Hootananny Ceilidh Bar and Johnny Foxes Bar/Club (for the younger or young at heart perhaps).
